Politics of Poetics is a series of readings and workshops spotlighting influential contemporary poets whose work intersects with politics through writing, teaching, and activism. This summer, poet Solmaz Sharif—recipient of the 2017 American Book Award for her collection Look—joins artist Wafaa Bilal for a reading and conversation exploring shared themes in their work, including the impact and aftermath of modern warfare involving the US, Iran, and Iraq.
